After a week of recovery, I looked at the emails last night. Not a good or smart move. The amount of pressure in the system is overwhelming, and the response to this, when people break, has been to control the narrative.
At moments like this, I am heartened, by, of all things, SQLite. Who, when their corporate clients required a code of conduct, used an ancient one. That ends with this: Never despair of God's mercy.
There are those who will look at your faults and your imperfections, and use them to, if at all possible, destroy you. Despite having greater faults themselves, all too often. We can blame ourselves, but it is better to note that the times are evil and there are casualties. The narrative of this age sees this as a feature, not a bug. They will cheerfully damn us. If we follow their advice they will still cheerfully damn us.
For this world hates Christ,
Matthew 10:16-22
16 “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, 18 and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. 19 When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 21 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
We do not need to be clever. We need to endure. We will not be praised, and if we seek the praise of this world we will still be hated. The only way to not be hated is to lie down and give up, accept your damnation, and be a NPC.
The secular world is a monster with two heads. The first wants to destroy Christianity using FrancisChurch. The second wants to destroy the Church Herself. We have had abundant evidence in the last months that the second head wins every time, and the attacks on Francis will become more and more obvious as his stupid behaviour makes him useless – actually, counterproductive, and poisoning – as the beacon of a “new”, “listening” Church.
Expect apostates. They will infiturate, they will corrupt, they will destroy. You can tell them by the lack of opposition they face, and the comfort in which they live. They do not fear Human Resources, the various kangaroo courts that make up our rights commissions, or the twitter safety council. They consider that being in the cadre makes them immune of any consequence of their actions.
But God never has taken mockery well. The wind we sow we reap as a whirlwind. This is a time of change. May our societies choose righteousness, for there is a bloody history of pyramids and sacrifice that we should avoid.
And those nations exist no longer. Do not be like them.
