Guy Fawkes Day.
November 5 is a time when the British Empire remembers a near miss, for Guido Fawkes was hired by Papists to blow up Parliament, preferably while the king was within it, and restore a Catholic to the throne. Was not going to work: the reign of bloody Mary was still in peoples memory, and the English saw Catholics and nonconformists as traitors. The Puritans and the High Church Anglicans were having a fight over the rules for the church, and Parliament did little.
We no longer have a Christian Parliament. And perhaps the modern Guy was right: the tyranny however, is not from a religious coup but from the virtue signalling micromanagement of the woke left. Fawkes should remind us that the alternative to compromise and working togehter for the good of our nations is high explosive, revolution, and blood shed in our green and pleasant lands.
49 “I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled! 50 I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how great is my distress until it is accomplished! 51 Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. 52 For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”
54 He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens. 55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?
57 “And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? 58 As you go with your accuser before the magistrate, make an effort to settle with him on the way, lest he drag you to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer put you in prison. 59 I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the very last penny.”

14 Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps, 3 and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb, 5 and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless.
6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7 And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
8 Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion[a] of her sexual immorality.”
9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”
12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.[b]
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”
The powers of this world have never been aligned with Christ. Instead they foment division, for they want our fealty. The state wants to be LORD, not Christ. One of the vectors they use is degeneration. If you do not partake in your self damnation, they will encourage you to believe a lie, or, better, just stay it, knowing that it is untrue.
I do not think the 144 000 are symbolic. I believe instead that there have been among us those who are truthful, chaste, and virgins throughout their lives. Some of these the world now calls autistic, for they know not the social cues that allow them to lie. Others are mocked for their celibacy.
The consequences of convergence with this narrative of lies, however, is that you are damned. Though we are told it is hate speech to say it, the word of God is living and active, and looking at it the spirit of God allows us to divine our faults and correct.
But we must endure. The courts of this fallen time? Avoid, as surely as the Jews should have avoided the pagan Roman Courts. The members of our family who go full SJW? Pray for them, love them, but do not let them regulate the church they despise.
And do not be where the capital or crowds are.
Do not be like them, unless you find yourself being sealed with the signs of the enemy. Perhaps Guy was wrong. Our institutions, when converged with this narrative of lies, destroy themselves without any need for an external push.
