OK, what's here

This is a restart of a site that evolved and is now breaking. It is also an experiment and a backup.

For years, I blogged. The last site (which may be down, or backed up here, or both) had something like seven years and 4000 posts. It got hit, attacked, became unusable. So I'm trying to back it up at a commercial site who will manage it and moving the blogging bit to here.

I'm Chris. This is a hobby and a passion and life, for this site is primarily about Christ and what he is. As I wrote a couple of days ago...

One of the things that came out of church is that we should continue the tasks we have. We need to pray. We need to meditate on the words of God. We need to serve. The visiting preacher saith “We make it simple! Go the the course this afternoon, and in four weeks you will know your role!”. There are those I am encouraging to do this. But I know what I have to do: and it is to continue to blog on the word of God.
For many on the alternative right fall away. They look at this world, are disgusted, the pleasures of the flesh fade, and they can no longer speak. Despair, ennui, or a lack of things to say means that whatever the have is now stale. Some of this is economic.
This blog is a hobby, and being a hobby it is antifragile. It does not matter what happens — unless the website goes down, there will be lectionary posts. Now done in the evening, when my brain is at its best. (Trust me, the morning posts are furled by too much coffee).
And the word of God is always new, always confronts, and is always the truth. Look not at my commentary, look at the word.

So... what will go here? Daily readings. Scripture.

The blog is at http://139.59.31.215 Use that. The DNS servers may take a while to change over.

And if another solution works, then so be it.
